Getting started

Signing up to Ourmedia

To get started on making your podcast sign up for an account on the Ourmedia website. Point your web browser to http://www.ourmedia.org. Then click on the button Sign Up - Member Benefits.

Then fill in the form that follows. The form requires you to enter a username, email, password and city. The other information is optional.

When you have completed the form you can now log into the Ourmedia website.

Internet Archive sign up

Because it takes a lot of resources to be able to host audio and video files, Ourmedia works with a partner organisation called Archive.org to host the video and audio files. This means that before you can upload an audio file you need to create an account on archive.org.

You should remember to use the same email as for the Ourmedia account. This is mentioned on the Ourmedia sign up page.

Enter your Internet Archive password on Ourmedia.

First Log into your Ourmedia account.

Then click on your username to go to your profile page.

Then click on the my settings Tab

The email you use here should be the same as the one you use to login to the Internet Archive.

Scroll down the page until you see the section on the Internet Archive.

Enter the password you use for Internet Archive here. You should now be able to upload media using the Ourmedia forms.
